History

Beard or as it was known in its infancy, Beard Plumbing Company, began as a residential plumbing contractor in the Dallas area in 1948. The company was founded by Claude C. Beard Sr. and his son Claude C. Jr. and was able to define itself as a "best in class" residential plumbing contractor utilizing the following core values that still are in place today:

* Build a quality product w/ the finest Union craftsmen
* Establish and maintain a safe working environment
* Develop a customer for life and not for one project

Once established as a Corporation in 1958, Beard began focusing its business model on more commercial and industrial projects and less on the residential applications. This was a critical decision for the future of Beard as the company began its business relationship with Texas Instruments. In early 1970 Beard helped Texas Instruments build its first clean room environment in Lubbock, Texas which was Beard's first experience in the process piping or "high purity" arena. As Texas Instruments grew so to did Beard and with their diverse working conditions and aggressive schedules this help to establish Beard as one of the leading mechanical, plumbing and process piping contractors in the newly forming Microelectronics industry.

As Beard continued to diversify and grow its customer base in the early 1970's, the third generation Beard, David Beard began his career with the organization. David Beard had a vision to increase the company's business opportunities by taking a more aggressive "out of the box" business philosophy. This aggressive approached continued the company's tradition of being the "contractor of choice" for some of the following industry leaders:

Beard has not merely survived more than 50 years in a competitive market, we have consistently positioned ourselves as a "premier" provider of plumbing, process piping and HVAC services to support the Microelectronics, Biopharmaceutical, and General Industries. Beard continues to improve and diversify its business model to support its current and future customer base. In 2007, Beard reorganized into individual corporations in an effort to better meet our clients' needs as well as to provide a more streamline and flexible organizational structure.

Our company has worked with Beard for over 30 years and in that time we have seen everything together as partners. Beard has always been fair and honest and that is all we can ask as a supplier.
